Position Reports to: PR Manager
Purpose of Role:
Support the PR Manager to generate maximum PR coverage across all Links of London campaigns including:
- Driving and managing product placement
- Supplying and distributing press packs
- Organising and delivering press events
- Support global PR activities as directed by PR Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Links of London brand profile in relation to brand DNA, as a leading contemporary jeweller within EMEA
- Establish, cultivate and maintain relationships with press in the EMEA SBU ensuring publications have all latest press releases and LOL remains front of mind
- Within EMEA SBU, instigate and secure editorial features and product placement, concentrating on main PR objectives for each product category
- Global day to day contact for all Women’s product PR queries from markets
- Assist PR Manager with writing and distributing press releases for new products, events and store openings globally and in line with the central marketing strategy
- Organise and deliver any PR events within EMEA. This includes briefing the graphics studio on collateral, arranging gifts and cars for VIPs, organising catering requirements, compiling and managing the invite list, chasing editorial post event and writing a full de-brief report for each event.
- Ensure the press books are maintained with the appropriate usage of each piece of editorial & share information with overseas PR representatives.
- Support the management of celebrity product placement and endorsement projects
- Support the management of the press discount scheme in EMEA
- Compile and distribute all internal EMEA PR communications including monthly editorial emails, events and store launch feedback for specific departments etc.
- Maintain contact with department stores, ensuring we maximise on marketing opportunities
- Compile statistics on all features and product placement for the monthly PR report
- Assist the PR Manager in managing and delivering successful sponsorship relationships from a PR perspective. This includes organising relevant press releases, entertaining press at events etc.
- Raise purchase orders and process invoices as directed by the PR Manager
- Analyse competitor activity and report back to PR manager
- Represent Links of London as a ‘brand ambassador’, attending events etc.
- Manage the PR Intern/Assistant – ensuring the team always has enough cover to keep up with the demands of the department
- Compilation of weekly reports on UK Press Activity
- Generate ideas for creative press content
- Maintain regular contact with the media through face to face appointments
- Manage media clipping systems & photographic libraries
- Keep up to date with the changing face of PR, trends, news and competitors
- Job share with the Online/Men’s Press Officer on a daily and project basis to ensure all deadlines are met and the PR interns duties are covered
- Nurture and establish solid press relationships, sharing contacts with team members
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
Education
- Marketing Communications Qualification is desirable
Experience (in bold are mandatory):
- Demonstrable PR experience within a fashion or retail press office
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Advanced writing skills
- Excellent understanding of English language in written communication
- Experience of brands, luxury brands is desirable
- Relevant key press contacts is highly desirable
