James Purdey & Sons has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented professional to lead and manage the PR and events activity for Purdey in the UK and around the world.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Communications and working within a small team, you will be the eyes and ears of the brand ensuring that at all times it is presented and promoted in a manner keeping with Purdey's position as one the world's finest companies.

This role will be managing the strategic planning for new initiatives and help agree strategic directions of the PR programme. You will need fantastic organisational skills and experience of planning and delivering events.

You will need to have:

• Solid national & regional PR and media experience
• Good Microsoft package experience, in particular Excel and Powerpoint
• Strong experience using various social media platforms
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• The ability to identify and capitalise on PR opportunities
• Strong leadership skills
• Ideally but not essentially an interest in country sports and the country way of life
