AlexandAlexa.com is one of the U.K’s leading online luxury children’s wear retailers, selling over 150 brands worldwide. This includes high-end fashion just for kids, such as Burberry, Dior, Paul Smith, Marc Jacobs, Chloe, D&G, as well as emerging children’s wear labels.

We are looking for a talented and intelligent E-Commerce Assistant Product Editor to join our busy team.

A great opportunity to work as part of a fun, friendly team within a growing and successful company, also gaining solid online merchandising and studio experience within a hugely expanding market - perfect for a graduate looking to gain invaluable experience within this industry.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Production Manager your main duties will include writing product descriptions & uploading products to the alexandalexa.com website. Working to the company’s brand guidelines and tone of voice you will be required to create well-written, succinct and accurate copy to describe various items to be sold on the site. To be an accurate fit for this position you will be computer literate & have an understanding of Microsoft Excel. The role will also include general office duties and will provide invaluable experience in a fast-paced fashion office environment for the right individual.

Skills and experience
Requirements:

  • Computer literate & an understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Excel
  • A genuine interest in fashion, the ability to confidently and accurately describe a broad range of products including – fashion accessories, toys, sportswear & sports equipment
  • A good writing style that is accurate and adaptable, with a good use of grammar
  • A key attribute will be strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct errors
  • An understanding of garment and accessory construction and details and an ability to describe these in writing
  • The ability to work to clear deadlines but also to work independently
  • The ability to work quickly and to agreed daily targets
  • The ability to work within a small team environment
