Aveda and Darphin are looking for a dynamic, passionate Communications Coordinator to join their Communications Team.

The role itself presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the professional brands division: working on Aveda; the leading botanical hair and skincare brand with a rich heritage and Darphin a leading brand within the spa and salon sector. With the communications arena constantly evolving we are looking for a candidate who is keen to take a 360 degree approach to the role and embrace both, print digital and social media and who possesses a creative outlook.

This role is primarily responsible for increasing the awareness of both the Aveda and Darphin brands through consumer press. Duties include the day-to-day running of the press office: press liaison, monitoring and analysing media coverage, drafting press releases, liaison with our trade PR agency and Aveda Institute and salons. The role also includes assisting in the organisation and implementation of press events.

The successful candidate will have experience in the PR industry, preferably within the beauty sector, be highly organised and possess excellent communication, organisational and writing skills and an eye for detail. A broad understanding of the beauty and haircare marketplace and current trends, is also key.

A polished telephone manner is essential and proficient computer skills are required, including a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
