An opportunity is available for the right candidate to lead the editorial standards and production of a quarterly catalogue for a leading, women's high street retailer.

Working for the award winning content agency, Fitzgerald Shurey Tarbuck based in SE1 (www.fst-uk.com), the successful candidate will report into the Content Editor and Creative Director.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the client to produce a seasonal catalogue that is both creatively and commercially viable
  • Lead an internal art, administration and copy team
  • Liaise with the client on a daily basis to ensure needs and requirements are met and understood
  • Manage a pool of freelance sub editors
  • Oversee shoot production and schedules
  • Ensure reproduction of pages is smooth and of outstanding quality
  • Ensure the client and agency team adhere to and understand deadlines
  • Deliver a catalogue within a 7 week schedule
  • Oversee copy, product description and codes are accurate
  • Maintain a healthy and positive relationship with the client
  • Issuing and updating schedules, flat plans, progress reports on all aspects of the editorial process to ensure that the pages are processed according to the schedule.
  • Oversee all costs to ensure the Production Editor and team are operating within the budget

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least two years proven experience in a similar role
  • Have excellent people management skills
  • Be able to demonstrate an appreciation of editorial values and processes
  • Be highly organised and methodical
  • Feel comfortable designing and implementing organisational processes
  • Ideally be creative, have strong writing skills and a good eye

This is a freelance contract role working to a 7 week schedule four times a year with a day rate £150 (fully inclusive rate).

The role has the potential to become full time position working across a number of leading fashion brands within FST.
