Last night the Online Media Awards, which recognises the best in online news and journalism, announced its 2012 award winners at a ceremony held at the Emirates Stadium. The Guardian took home the coveted award for Website of the Year, also claiming the awards for Best National News Site, Best Technical Innovation, Best Twitter Feed and Best Use of Social Media. Also a winner on the night was The Sunday Times, scooping Best Campaigning/Investigative Journalism, and Best Use of Photography. Red Online won the prize for Best Designed Site, while The Huffington Post UK's Carla Buzasi was awarded with Online Editor of the Year. The full list of award winners is available online.
