PRATT INSTITUTE UNVEILS PRATT FASHION VISIONARY AWARD HONOREE

New York-based creative college Pratt Institute has announced Francisco Costa as the recipient of this year's Pratt Fashion Visionary Award. As the Women's Creative Director of Calvin Klein Collection, Francisco will receive the award at the institution's 116th runway show, entitled Laboratory, that takes place on May 7 (see events). With over two decades of design excellence within the fashion industry, Francsico joined Calvin Klein in 2002 and was promoted to his current title a year later, before the debut of his inaugural collection in 2004.

TOPMAN AND K-WAY ANNOUNCE COLLABORATION

This month sees the launch of the collaboration between men's retailer Topman and French outerwear brand K-Way. Celebrating its 50th anniversary year, K-Way's practical nylon jacket designs are lightweight, waterproof and windproof, and fold easily into themselves to form a small portable pouch. The exclusively designed collection with Topman includes an ombre nylon parka (pictured), blue print, zip through and reversible hooded jacket and a grey marl design with nylon stripe detail which folds down into a zipped bumbag. Topman x K-Way will be available in selected Topman stores worldwide, and online from March 19.

PETIT BATEAU COLLABORATES WITH KENTA MATSUSHIGE

April sees the launch of a collaborative collection from fashion label Petit Bateau and Japanese designer Kenta Matsushige. In 2013 Petit Bateau began a partnership with the Hyères Festival and 2014's winner of the Grand Prix du Jury Première Vision was Kenta, allowing the designer to reinvent the brand's iconic pieces. The collection features three major pieces: a dress, a t-shirt and a sailor shirt which will be available in a range of Petit Bateau stores worldwide this spring. The designer took inspiration from kimonos and deconstructed sailor stripes by adding a superimposed print.

CAUDALIE LAUNCHES THE MASK COLLECTION

French skincare brand Caudalie has announced the launch of The Mask Collection. The four masks in the range were inspired by the brand's Vinothérapie® Spa treatments, combining the power of active ingredients extracted from the vine with highly indulgent textures. The line consists of: the Instant Detox Mask, which purifies stressed skin, treating all forms of free-radical damage and formulated with grape marc, pink clay and coffee, papaya enzymes and a phyto-aromatic cocktail with eight essential oils (lavender, bergamot, camomile, sage, cypress, parsley, myrrh and sandalwood); the Moisturizing Mask, for soft, supple and intensely replenished skin, with Vinolevure®, grape-seed oil and hyaluronic acid; the Glycolic Peel, to boost radiance in a dull complexion, with viniferine, papaya enzymes and glycolic acid; and the Purifying Mask, to clarify and balance combination or oily skin with blemishes, made with white clays, zinc and flax seeds, and the brand's phyto-aromatic cocktail with eight essential oils.
